First week of November for CRT (Oct 31-Nov 6)

Nice job winning TWO trees this weekend, Brian!

Hi team,

Driving to Kingdom Challenge last weekend... at sunrise.

It’s hard to believe that we have reached November and our final race series–Fallen Leaves. These races are fast and flat and CRT runners definitely have a chance of placing in the top 3 for our age category.

There are separate sign up sheets online for each of the 3 races of the series, so make sure you choose the date you want. Remember that the last Fallen Leaves race is going to be the first Saturday of Thanksgiving Break, so take that into account when you decide which of the races you want to do.

Also-Congrats to Brian! He won third place overall at the Kingdom Challenge 1/2 marathon this weekend. He went home with a ribbon and a small pine tree as a prize, ’cause that’s how they do it in the Northeast Kingdom.

Here’s the schedule for the week:

Wednesday:

Long run. Let’s do a 4 or 5 miler on Wednesday. Meet outside the fitness center at 5pm. We’ll take off around 5:15.

Also, don’t forget to sign up for Fallen Leaves on Wednesday! I can be more flexible about letting people sign up until Friday for these races, since we pay for them day-of. We just need to make sure we have enough car space for everyone. If you want to be guaranteed a ride, sign up by Wednesdays at midnight.

Jacob M. and Bret

Friday:

Easy pre-race run. Meet outside the fitness center at 5pm. We’ll take off around 5:15.

Saturday:

Fallen Leaves in Montpelier. Meet in the IDX parking lot at 7:45 am for a ride.

See you all soon!

-Rachel

Sunset run last Friday.
