It’s hard to believe that the summer is winding down, but the good news is that CRT is just getting started. We’re going to have our best season ever this fall, and we’re looking forward to our first two weeks of training before our first race, the Archie Post 5 miler on September 10th.
We want to get everyone as excited as we are about the fall CRT season (blow up our Facebook page, people!), so we’re posting some information early so you can start to get jazzed, too.

Before you run your first race though, let’s talk about practices. CRT will be meeting for team runs 2 times a week. During the first week of school we’ll run on Tuesday and go on a fun run on Friday. We meet for practice outside the gym in the IDX at 5 pm, stretch, and start running at about 5:15. We usually get back between 6 and 6:15 pm.
Our longer runs (usually 3 to 6 miles) are on Tuesdays or Wednesdays and our easy runs or fun runs (2.5-3 miles) are on Friday or Saturday. Check the team calendar for specific dates.
Our first official team meeting is on September 7th at 5 pm. And returning CRT members, don’t forget to wear your t shirts around campus next week!
